There was a LOT of this style fixtures in Illinois mostly in Cook County outside of Chicago on truss arms on some roads and a lot on intersections on traffic lights....most were HPS....but I believe I saw a few mercury or MHs....

i actually sort of like this setup,i see similar setups like this in the downtowns of larger texas cities like waco and dallas.
