Waiting For The Train
I snapped this photo while waiting for a train to cross one evening. These arms and LED signals were installed in the spring of 2009, replacing an old triangular truss arm with incandescent signals.

The streetlight in the background, along with most beyond it, are 400 watt HPS M-400As, most with acrylic drop lenses.

Is his that one crossing on the Richardson heading toward south, toward North Pole and Delta Junction? Or is this up on Johanssen or Steese someplace?
That Richardson Highway cracks me up; I was looking at it on Streetview and cracking up at the railroad crossing the freeway, the random dirt roads entering the freeway with nothing but a stop sign, etc. Granted, I might be driving on the Richardson regularly starting in August.

Nope, that one is by the university. The "freeways" around there are kind of a stretch of the term.

Laughing Compared to a lot of places, you could say that!
