Here's the new ballast installed. Looks kinda different cause there's only one ballast. I like it though, much neater setup.

Hmm, I wire the ballast directly to the holders if the wiring is long enough, that way I don't have to cut short the wires on the original ballast.

the old ballasts were connected directly to the holders, no way to remove them without cutting the wires.

Yes you can. To remove the wires from the lampholders, just pull out on them and twist counterclockwise. That's what I do. It's a bit of work, but it gets the wires out.

Yep that's how I got them out, on some holders you can also pry off the back plate and release the wires from the back too.

Oh ok. I figured it was just easier to clip the wires.
