Shell Station White OV-25 TUDOR
no idea of wattage but they are HPS....strangely enough all shell stations in tyler have OV-25 Tudors all with the same short, white pole setup...seems like more than a coincidence.

Shell Stations Vary in Texas however i see in more than one location the same white pole setup, some with Cooper OVZ's one shell station 10 miles north of me in lindale has wood poles with a Mercury Silverliner and Two Mercury AEL 125's

These really do look a lot like a 325 Smile
Form109   [Feb 14, 2011 at 04:51 AM]
in a way they do....i think it could easily be mistaken for an AEL 125 or 325 as it shares similarities with both.

From the thumbnail, you can also see an OVM resembalence.

hmmm didn't see it that way...the lenses for both fixtures are exact tho.

The utility pole in the background is nice. xD

Maybe I should paint my OV-25 Tudor white... Or Black... How would that look? xD

Just kidding. xD I am keeping it silver. Good-old silver.

Speaking.. Why did the paint job on fixtures change from silver to grey?
streetlight98   [Dec 07, 2011 at 11:04 PM]
I think it had to with Ladybird Johnson? I've heard the name reated to the color of insulators and maybe lightign fixtures too? Althoguh Westinghouse still used silver until the end of their time....

Painted fixtures look like crap when the paint begins to wear off...unless it's silvery in color.

good!...don't paint it black or white!
streetlight98   [Dec 08, 2011 at 02:47 AM]
Crap isn't a bad word you know. Razz I personally think the wearing paint makes it have a nice character to it. If the lights were furnished with a quality paint job instead of a cheapo powercoat, the finish would last a lot longer without it wearign off.

Ehh I like bare fixtures better. Razz
Form109   [Dec 08, 2011 at 02:56 AM]
not really a bad word i agree, but an admin edited a descripton on one of my photos because it had "crap" in it.

i think the Grey Painted M400's keep their finnish quite a while eh?
streetlight98   [Dec 08, 2011 at 03:02 AM]
If you're talking about the 60's gray M-400's, yes. The ones here were silver I believe, so the paing is gone, but the gray ones elsewhere still seem to have atleast a little bit of paint left. I find it to vary between batches. Some of AELs lights the paint comes off in chunks, while others it just appears to "melt" away over time. I find that some Coopers have the same issues, exept more of them seem to hold their paint instead of it falling off on peices. GE's paint hasn't seemed to ever coem off in chunks, but some of their fixtures loose the paitn VERY fast while other GEs around the same age will still have their paint. Neutral

At a Shell station or some gas station in Plano, Texas on Plano Pkwy there's a bunch of wooden poles that held Mercury AEL 125s or they might have been MH, and one day I came by to see them replaced with LEDs Shocked Rolling Eyes Sad Crying or Very sad
streetlight98   [Jun 29, 2015 at 10:31 AM]
Ugh LEDs. I'm surprised there are any HID gas stations out there. Almost all of them (even the mom & pop gas/service stations have LEDs now. I think it's part of a NGrid (electric company) Energy Star Program where they do lighting, HVAC, and appliance upgrades for homeowners and business owners.

The Sunoco on Route 8 in Shaler, PA used to have metal halide lights until several years ago when they were replaced with LED's.
