In Long Beach, California, there are a couple of Davit poles on Shoreline Drive.

Some mast arms for traffic signals are connected to Davit poles, such as the intersection of Puente Street and Lambert Road in Brea.

They should have used shorter poles or mounted them on the sidewalk.

Here much shorter poles are used for underpasses, this looks crazy some bucket trucks might not be able to reach these light!

There was a setup like this on Hwy. 8 in Kitchener a around 7 or 8 years ago, here's how it looked. The poles on the left are still there but the lights over the freeway have been removed, the poles on the right are now completely gone, they pushed back the retaining wall to widen the freeway. Here's now it looks today.

Niall; RIDOT used those short poles here too in the same types of application. In davit and truss form. They range from about 15-5 feet. Shocked I want one for my backyard. Laughing The arms were actually taller than the poles.

In Dallas the entire new 635 addition has davit poles. There are more added everyday.
