Looks similar to the older signals on Rte 117 (Warwick avenue) in Warwick. They were converted to LED like this one too...

Hmm, those look like Eagle Alusig signals.

yeah thay look nice! I knwo of similar ones that are actually circle sections with ribs on them and a flat square around the circle so the signal sections looks square in the front but look from the back and they're not! Shocked

You are thinking of Econolite Bullseyes that were available from 1957 up until the mid 60s. Offered in square and round door models. The body's were always round.

This one pictured is an AluSig made by Eagle between 1977 and 1990.

Yep that must be it! Ironically, the paint is better on those than on the newer signals!

The Econolite Bullseye signals were very rare here, I only know of this one in use here. Here's a shot of the insides and here's a shot of the back.

And yeah I find older signals tend to keep their paint better than newer ones. I still see old GEs from the 60s here with a full coat of paint. Oh and I believe McCains are the worst at keeping a coat of paint.

yep that's it. The ones here are yellow though. It seems they were always yellow here except for the providence area, which were green until the 90s or so when they were yellow. Now they're black in downtown but other than that, they're yellow. Are black signals more expensive than yellow?

I think they cost the same but yellow is preferred over green and black nowadays since they are more visible. We used to have green signals but they got phased out in the 1980-1990s. There are also a small amount of black signals here too, mainly used in decorative or for special signals (bike, streetcar, transit, etc).
