M-250 R2 with 250 watt ballast.
From the M-400 R3, I mounted it with one of the brackets that came with my Metal Halide ballast from a while ago.

The ballast is tightly fit in there, but at least it fits! I am glad I found this ballast.

This is going to stay this way. How is the mounting of the ballast?

Nothing touches, and the ballast fits in there well.

Very tight fit, I decided to mount the ballast horizontal and with coils to the side because it makes the other components fit better, as I had trouble with things fitting with the old ballast with it normal.

Yeah, a lot tighter than when my R47 had a 250w ballast inside.

The GE 250 watt ballasts are pretty big, even for an M-250 R2. The ballasts in my OVZ, OVX, OVH, are smaller. But I do have bigger 250 watt ballasts in my other fixtures.

I'm guessing this is an "Autoreg" ballast? They seem to be the most common ballasts in GE's.

Autoreg is CWA I believe....

How do you guys think the mounting is? I know it's crammed in there but what do you expect from a 250 watt HPS ballast and a small fixture. xD It fits this way better than the coils facing up and down.

Let's talk more about lightbulbs please....
