Inside M-250 R2
You notice the ballast isn't mounted usual in the housing, because:

The busted housing didn't have brackets, and the ballast was screwed in directly to the housing. so:

I used the brackets from my 250w Mercury Vapor ballast (MV ballast not usable, since it is 480v =( )

Everything in this light is original, except for the housing. because the other one is busted and not usable anymore.

That fixture won't hang right without either the original plate and second set of bolts or another clamp and bolts.

It was mounted with thatg slipfitter like that. it did hang down a little bit. but i took it down when i replaced it with the 115. and the 4 bolt thing will not fit with the termanal board like that.

You could move the terminal block. Really you don't even need it. You can use wire nuts as you don't have alot of connections on it.

Do you even notice the light isn't like this anymore? This ballast fried months and months ago. Now it has a 70 watt HPS yardblaster ballast and hangs outside lighting at night.

Looking at the ballast in the picture....it looks like it was already burning! Look at how DARK the coils are! The Primary Coil is even darker!

Actually I think the camera made it look that way.

I know it's mounted outside w/ a new ballast.

I really wish this ballast didn't fry like that. Maybe it reached it's end of life, or maybe the fall damaged it. I dunno. xD

It's funny, the only reason I have an M-250 R2 is because I found one on the ground a long time ago that was busted. xD And Today the M-250 R2 consists of NOTHING (except terminal block) from that busted M-250 R2 except for the terminal block.

Pretty much, now my M-250 R2 consists of parts from lots of different fixtures. 175w Metal Halide ballast from eBay, Refractor-Reflector-Housing were all sent to me in the mail by Darren to fix up the M-250 R2, and now are used for my fixture. Photocell control and Door were from an M-250 R2 that was busted with the pole on the ground by a car hitting it. SO pretty much my M-250 R2 is just a bunch of different parts come together to one fixture, that are not really connected in any way. Funny how that turns out.
