New addition! 200w HPS 115 From 2008. In 14 days this light will hit 10 years old! Wow! Can't believe how fast things are going now. But.. I found this at the restore, the wheat ridge one (Xmaslightguy, there is another one there if you want to buy it, it's 20 bucks) which for some reason I have having incredible luck finding cobraheads at the restore after moving back here to Colorado. I bought this one cause it is my first 200 watt HPS fixture. One of the more oddity wattages (though not nearly as much so as 310 watts.. I would love a 310 watt fixture) but it's a nice addition, it's a bit dirty on the inside but I will try to fire up soon! Here is outside view, pretty clean I would say, NEMA tag is nice, now I just need to light this sucker up! Keywords: American_Streetlights

Wow polycarbonate refractor with 200W? And only a slight hint of brown after a decade!

Gross, get a glass refractor on that thing ASAP. I know of some 200w 115's with poly refractors that were installed a few years ago and the refractors are already yellowing. What's interesting is that the city using them now uses glass refractors on the 100, 200, and 250w lights (those are the only wattages they use).

What kind of ballast does this have? Could you maybe get a picture of the guts?

LOL there's apparently nothing wrong with it, given it's taken ten years of use to look like this. According to his other picture, the catalog number is 115 20S CA 120 R3 DP OP, so it's a 200W HPS 115 with a CWA ballast, 120V, Type 3 distribution with a polycarbonate refractor and an open-board plug-in ignitor.

I have a picture uploaded. it's just the next one in the album. Everything is getting converted to LED at this point, I dunno where these came from or how the hell they wound up at the restore. The other two.. Okay other three lights I got at the restores weren't used at all, these though they have clearly been used as they had some dust and dead bugs in them. (there were two at the restore and now there is one left if it's still there) so it beats me.

Nice find, and even being used seems like a fair deal for just $20...
...I might have to try & make it up to that store next weekend Laughing hopefully that other one will still be around if I do go.
