It was yellowed by when It was in service. Darren sent it to me yellow already. I think the previous 100w HPS yellowed it. Darren before he sent it to me told me the refractor was yellowed.
You should switch 'em- make the MV one dusk-to-dawn and the HPS on for a portion. This way, your neighboors will say "Wow, he has a pretty green light" instead of "Ugg. ORANGE! Get me otta here!"
Now, The whole setup is changed. The NEMA head is on the corner of the deck, lighting up the area where my sister parks her car, The M-250r2 lights up above the garage, (M-250r2 is 70 watt HPS) And the Yardblaster is in the middle on the deck railing with a 20w CFL in it. The Two HID lights are on from dusk to like.. 11:00 PM my time, and turn back on from like.. 3:00 AM my time to dawn. The Yardblaster stays on all night. But the CFL HATES cold weather and fails to start. I can get a pic of it tomorrow.
i Dont really like those motion detector lights either...and i see them with CFL's in them from time to time.
I run the MV light less times than the HPS light. HPS light is on all night, while the other is on only for a portion of the night.
is this done manually or do they switch automatically?
Yeah those motion sensor pars bug me too, unless they go from 50% to 100% when there's motion like the fixtures on my house
And the yardblaster is mounted on the deck railing, giving 70w HPS light on the opposite side of the house. Illuminates the yard pretty well. xD
