Newest additon to my collection: Thomas & Betts Model 113!
Okay, so how I got this:

I was driving out to Colfax avenue after I got some subway, then I spot an Xcel energy truck waiting at the red light. I saw COBRAHEADS in the truck! Lots of new ones. So I decided to follow the Xcel truck and the truck went to one of the Xcel facilities. The guy in it was going to enter the yard, I caught the guy and asked him if I could see the cobraheads.

There were a lot of cobraheads in the truck, Most of them were brand new cobraheads though, A couple AE 115's 200 watts HPS, SOme M-250 R2 200w HPS, and I was shicked to see, a BRAND NEW M-400 R2 FCO. IT had instructions inside the reflector.

It seem Xcel is starting to install BRAND NEW M-400 R2's for Medium fixtures in some places, I saw a brand new M-400 R2 in service at Wadsworth on an intersection, had the new NEMA tag look and yeah. Nice and shiny.

Anyway back to THIS light: Well I spotted this fixture without the door with a broken lamp sitting in the truck, I asked about it, and he pulled out a door from behind some stuff, odd enough the door had the "20" NEMA tag on it so I doubt this door is the original fixtures door. But then he gave it to me and I said thanks and left with it.

There was also a posttop/twist pack that was busted in the truck, but I decided not to get that.

Yay for the right timing and finding a truck full of cobraheads. xDD

The fixture is 100w HPS though, bought a lamp today and tested the fixture after a cleaning, worked perfectly!

I just need a refractor for this fixture now.. Any help on one?

I never said about a refractor in this fixture. Only on the thing but I was trying to change the subject so I could have suggestions to where to get one. But meh. I probably asked it a trillion times anyway.

Sorry if i sounded a bit frustrated, it's been a long unhappy day for me today. I've been in a terrible moodd. Sad As for the refractor try Formed plastics a bit pricey, but the very last one is what you need.

Ugh now I am frustrated! I am trying to fit the OVZ refractor in this door but IT WON'T FIT! It stops before it can go fully in. SOMETHING is stopping it but I dunno what!
joe_347V   [Oct 11, 2011 at 04:40 AM]
Yeah even though they have the same footprint some refractors might be thinner/thicker especially with FCO glass.
streetlight98   [Oct 11, 2011 at 08:29 PM]
I know this could be a pretty stupid thing to say, but make sure the refreactor holdign clip is out of the way of the refractor. Razz Joe's right about the thickness vairing. It can be frustrating.
gailgrove   [Oct 11, 2011 at 08:34 PM]
Nice light! The OVZ refractor is the same one this light would use anyway so there's no reason it wouldn't fit properly.
streetlight98   [Oct 11, 2011 at 08:43 PM]
The refractor clip was most likely in the way.
LilCinnamon   [Oct 11, 2011 at 08:58 PM]
It's not that, because it goes past that fine. I dunno why it won't fit in right. I saw and I think it's the bits above the refractor. The OVZ refractor fits fine in the 115 though.. Hmm..
streetlight98   [Oct 11, 2011 at 09:05 PM]
Could the door be slightly bent?
LilCinnamon   [Oct 11, 2011 at 09:09 PM]
I don't think so, I think it's the two tabs on the top.
xmaslightguy   [Oct 12, 2011 at 03:35 AM]
That's awesome that he gave it to you!
mercuryvaporrocks   [Oct 12, 2011 at 04:10 PM]
They don't do that in my area.
GullWhiz   [Oct 12, 2011 at 05:59 PM]
What type of clip does it have? I know some fixtures have one type of clip for thicker refractors and other for FCO ones...
LilCinnamon   [Oct 12, 2011 at 07:15 PM]
What do you mean clip? As in the thing that screws in the bottom of the refractor thing? It's exactly the same as both my other 115's and 125. No difference at all. For the FCO 115 it just uses one of the flat edges to keep the FCO glass on and the drop lens uses the drop lens side.
streetlight98   [Oct 12, 2011 at 09:38 PM]
The refractor clip is a clip that holds in the refractor from the rear side. It's a plate of metal held to the door by a screw. You rotate the clip 90 degrees to install/remove the refractor.
joe_347V   [Oct 13, 2011 at 12:28 AM]
I always unscrewed mine to remove/install the refractor. Laughing and I think the R47 might have had another version of the clip for FCO glass.
LilCinnamon   [Oct 13, 2011 at 12:51 AM]
The one on my OV-15 doesn't have a screw. Its just bolted in there and you just twist it. I never got why it's that way.
streetlight98   [Oct 13, 2011 at 02:16 AM]
My OV25 you have to remove 4 screws with a plate (they don't slide). I cheat and only remove the front two though. Razz Laughing
GullWhiz   [Oct 13, 2011 at 03:02 PM]
Michael, show us.....My OV-14B uses 4 screws with 4 clips.....the screws are on the outside side.....
streetlight98   [Oct 13, 2011 at 08:48 PM]
Sure. i'll try to upload it by next Tuesday. Wink
