Newest addition! ITT model 25 FCO.
|
Found this lying on the ground on the pole waiting to be scrapped, but I rescued it!
When I went to that contractor they said they don't give away lights so I didn't get that Tudor, sorry. D: I wanted it so bad.
But I did explore lots of other places and I found this! I first spotted it driving across I-70... Didn't know exactly what kind of fixture it was cause I was going fast. It kind of looked like a 125 or M-400 R3.. I went back to take a look and was surprised to find an ITT Model 25!
These are very common in Denver, and I am glad I have one now!
It is missing it's flat glass, I will try to fit the M-400 R3 one on this for kicks. If I get a refractor It would be cool to see this thing with the refractor!
Haven't tested it yet, but am going to in a little while.
This marks my 11th full cobrahead in my collection! (not counting the ones I found busted up)

What's your secret? I simply NEVER see any streetlights laying on the ground! (Expect a few very rare cases).
I want to know NIALL's secret to how he got SO many fixtures without even PAYING for them! More than half of my collection I had to pay for.
Plus I drive around all the time and look for places. This was found at a construction site. When you see people working on the roads, you are bound to find streetlights. This fixture was found on the ground by the interstate though!
This also has two different slipfitter plates, which you said was on the early 80's version.
The second generation they took off the grooves, and the ridges in the housing were gone, the GE logo instead of being cast on to the housing, it was just marked, with permanent ink.
Third Generation the GE logo was taken off all together, and there were a few changes. Like the glass refractor was shallower I think.
Third Generation was the last until GE discontinued them. But then GE re-continued them and they still have the same traits as the 3rd generation M-400 R2.
