Yep, that's it! I think this is aluminum at least, not fibreglass. I also believe you can run a 50Hz ballast on 60Hz but it won't do great things for the ballast.
I have a 230 volt 50 he LPS fixture.....to power it on 60 hz...I was told by Max, a member on both LG and GoL that you have to run it on higher voltage for proper operation. In my case I need to run it at about 265 volts 60 hz....
This is actually a 110 -> 220 step up.....but if you wire the 120 on 100 terminal and output wire on 240 you will get more....and even more if you wire 130 to 110......I have had this go up to 265 before...it depends on what my primary output is.......
A second note, that fixture posted on ebay uses 150 watt 100 volt HPS, not a 150 watt 55 volt!
Yep it is actually an European fixtures. I recall seeing those from European members posts in Lighting-Gallery.net which is full of European and UK members.....although one thing I don't GET is it has an American Style NEMA tag!
It also has a feature to mount onto a vertical post top and the light will still point down....very much like the Holophane Mongoose....
Well if you look at the street view this is in Detroit, so they must of made versions for North America as well. I might look into getting one of those transformers if I actually get the light, if not then it will still be a cool light to have.

I have never seen this fixture on GE's website.
