Wow! With all the primaries on that pole i bet it must have left a lot of people in the dark! looks like the light on that pole was saved by chance. If the pole snapped in any other spot that light would have either hit the ground or the bottom section of the pole. From what I've heard about the contractors there, i guess there's a chance the light might get replaced anyways?
Oh man!!!! Reminds me of the October snowstorm here a few years back. Looks like your power company has it's work cut out. Normally in these situations, we would just get the pole back together and not reinstall the streetlight. After everything is repaired, we then go back and put lights up that were lost.
Yeah, they're still thousands of people without power and they're thinking that it might have to be after Christmas before they get everyone back on. My street lost power for about 22 hours from Saturday night to Sunday night. I heard rumours that they're sending in new crews from the US to help with restoring power.
There are no streetlights or traffic lights working from Dixie all the way Gateway I believe. I noticed this destruction today as well, Thats an OVX hanging down there.
A lot of trees got taken out too.
