OVXs On The Ground
I saw this while the 6 year old signals at an intersection where being replaced (yes you heard right, they where just 6 years old) I wasn't going to take them as they are right at the corner of a very busy intersection) There is another one on the ground in a more secluded place at another intersection, and it is brand new! it was put up for a few months as a temporary light an then taken back down and dumped, I'm sure it will get taken away though.

Looks like someone else is looking at the lights too. Laughing

Is one of them missing the refractor?
gailgrove   [Aug 13, 2011 at 01:53 AM]
Yeah, one must of got broken out.

Looks similar to when I found the M-400 R2 on the ground with the housing of an M-400 R2.

They were still on arms and laying down on the ground next to an intersection they re-did. Even though I have NO Idea where the M-400 R2 was in service at.. I have an idea for the M-400 R3 but not the M-400 R2 at all.

I just went past that intersection, the OVX with the refractor in tacked is now gone, but the one with the broken refractor is still there.

You should take the light and send it to me or something. xDD

Is the other OVX at that more secluded location at a different intersection still there?
gailgrove   [Aug 14, 2011 at 03:17 PM]
I did't go by there, but I would guess it still is. I'm going to try to eventually go to the contractor that does the signals here, and some street lighting and see if they have any good lights. I will also try to get some OVXs for you guys if they have any.

That would be awesome!! Very Happy

I would wish to see more of lights on the ground like this where I live. xD But I see it often enough.. That's how I got my M-400 R2, OVX, Model 25, and tons more fixtures.

I wish I saw more as well, I have only found three that way.

NGrid leaves absolutly nothing that can be profited off of behind. This includes street lights, poles, insualators, or anything that can be resold or scrapped by another person. They didn't mind leaving broken wooden crossarms on the side of the road though after the Nor'Easter though. Mad Rolling Eyes

They left out this from Nov 08 to I guess May-June 09. Shocked
streetlight98   [Jan 17, 2012 at 10:31 PM]
Wow that's a long time. Shocked
gailgrove   [Jan 18, 2012 at 12:29 AM]
Yeah, that is a long time! Here poles get removed as soon as they are knocked over.
