I predict for 2012, our city of brampton is using Full-cut-offs for ALL new planned projects. I've seen a whole stretch used on a regional road widening project on the east border. Just saw a new intersection signal set using 150W coopOVH for the side street and 400W coopOVF for the main st! The irritating thing is the main street was totally relamped a month earlier with condradicting AEL125 drop lenses!
I guess it's like my area too...they just suddenly switched to using FCO lights for spot replacements in 2010 although a drop lens OVX or 125 might slip through.
@gail: the new intersection fitted with cooper FCO's is hurontario and collingwood rd. I think after 10 years of using coopOVX's, a change would freshen things up. I can't think of any other model from the past that was constantly installed for more than 10 years around here. the canadian powerlite used prior came close.
The Powerlite R47 was used from 1993 through 2002, I don't think there is really any "freshening up" needed but I have never liked the Cooper OVX anyways, I think the AEL 125 is a much better alternative to the OVX, better quality as well.
