Laughing Yeah those 1000 watt lamps are expensive. Which was more, your 1000w MH lamp or this one?
gailgrove   [May 02, 2011 at 09:37 PM]
They where both the same price $0 Very Happy
joe_347V   [May 03, 2011 at 07:30 AM]
And I thought I got a good deal on my 1kw MH for 50 cents each Razz
gailgrove   [May 03, 2011 at 12:33 PM]
What a rip off 50 cents Shocked
joe_347V   [May 03, 2011 at 09:54 PM]
Laughing At least it was just 50 cents Razz

The cashier was all Shocked at me when I bought them.
gailgrove   [May 04, 2011 at 09:08 PM]
I can see why Laughing

Laughing I know that feeling when I check out at Lowe's with boodles of lighting stuff. Laughing

Once at Rona:
"What's in this box, and why it is so heavy" when scanning a 1kw ballast.
"I don't even know what this thing is" when scanning a box for a yardlight refractor.

And at Lowe's
"I need a price check on... what is this thing" when asking for a price check on a F32T8 IS ballast. Laughing

:lo: Yeah, I've had a few experiences like that, like when I was buying my 1KW HPS ballast, I think they thought I was going to start a grow op Shocked

Time to revive this thread, surprisingly one of the people at Restore knew that PAR lamp I bought was a CMH PAR and told me it needed a ballast. Razz

I bought a 18 watt LPS last year at a ReStore, I've got to find it and get a pic of it. The weirdest looks I ever got was when I was trying to fit my 12-8-8 signal in the back of the car, beside Queen St. during rush hour. I'm surprised no one phoned the police, I had permission, but they didn't know that. Laughing

Laughing I suppose everyone is too busy or dosen't care enough to call the cops. Razz I took my signals home well hidden in the trunk even though they were all paid for.

I almost felt like walking away with the CGE Ped signal today Very Happy

I know of one for sale in that antique place I PM'd you but I don't know how much. Confused

I *ahem* may've once taken a light that was laying beside the road. I didn't feel right doing it but it had been there for months and it was just going to be scrapped. It was my 400 watt B2255, if anyone asked I'd say I was cleaning up "litter". Laughing
joe_347V   [Aug 24, 2013 at 04:33 AM]
Laughing 30 pound litter. Razz
streetlight98   [Aug 24, 2013 at 03:48 PM]
LOL I've never picked up a light on the side of the road because all I've ever found were destroyed knockdowns. Even with knockdowns there are good parts but any knockdowns were on the freeway so no stops lol. If i ever found a full light on the ground in perfect shape I'd consider going back at night if i could. That's once i can drive too. My parents would NEVER let me "clean up litter" like that lol.

One time I got bizarre looks at SBS (Spenard Builders' Supply, an Alaska home-improvement chain) when checking out with a "Buyer's Choice" (Sylvania) F40CWX and Advance 2XF40 electronic RS ballast, being a teenager...
