intreasting....the ballast core is visable....most High/Low Bays i see have the ballast Fully Enclosed.

Cooper's "Space Saver" feature for their highbays and lowbays has the ballast like this. It reduces the space of the ballast housing. That's probably what they did here.

All Cooper "Steeler" highbays have exposed ballasts, I guess it helps them stay cool.

Personally, I think it looks cool like that. I prefer the fully enclosed ones, but this is cool......
