Diffuser from a 3-way lamp
I liked this diffusing-white bowl thing from a cheap table lamp. I'm going to turn this into a mercury postop fixture! The design I have in mind is something with two lamps and sockets like this one:

Looks like it's from one of those "Mainstays" torchieres you can get for about 8$ at WalMart. They take a 3-way 50-100-150 watt lamp

i like your idea! I saw a mogul base 3-way lamp at a consignment shop and they wanted $500 for it! Shocked
