Actually they were off when I wired them, I was just adjusting the fixtures, plus it was cold and WINDY and the fixtures kept my hand warm. The newest one is the one I was holding, note the yellowish tinge? I noticed when you first use them, they are yellowish but after awhile it becomes white.
i guess maybe some MH lamps are made slightly yellow so they don't turn as pink as they age? The TCP protected/coated lamp in my deck light is the color of a halogen lamp but i thought it was just the coating... Come to think of it the luma lamp is sorta yellow too and the plusrite 175W probe MH lamp i used to have was too... All those lamps i mentioned were protected too...
Most pulse start lamps are yellowish when new...they turn white after a few hundred hours, near EOL they could be pink,purple or green...even seen some look almost HPS colored
