Fluorescent Sign lighting
Heres a shot of the old fluorescent lights for the turn signs. This is a smaller road and is not part of MTO and never was. The pole is all polefab. The fluorsecent lights don't light up at night anymore, they have been out of service for atleast 10 years. Very nice setup and never seen anything like this before

Nice find! I didn't know that Brampton used fluorescent lit signs at one point. Too bad they don't service it anymore.

Speaking of lighted signs, I noticed that Toronto had installed new versions of this on Spadina recently. They're still wrapped up but I should get a pic when they unwrap it lol.

This is the only one I have known of here. Yeah probably wasn't worth it anymore to the city. The R47's on the short concrete poles are around 20 years old. I wonder if it used davits like the street in this picture with the median R47 and AE 115. I had no clue that my city used black davit poles for most streets until I came across a site with old photos. Cool

The sign will likely be LED then I guess Razz

Update: These are now lighting up at night again! Cool

very unusual someone decided to get these serviced after 10 years. I remember when i was little the black davits were only on Bramalea streets including Central Parkway, Clark Blvd, and Williams Pkwy. I have been having a hard time finding any pictures of any.

Interesting! I didn't know that they still relamped these.

I think just may have just gotten LED'd. This whole area is undergoing the changeout to LED.

UPDATE: This just came down sometime in the last week or two. They put one sign on a pole, and 2 of the arrows on a little sign pole. Not sure whether it was hit, or they decided to take it down

Unfortunate, but was such overkill for this road. Wonder if this road ever had lots of traffic routed on it. I think a "road diet" will be applied to this stretch soon (aka bike lane conversion)

It was for sure overkill here. There are bikelanes on the north side of Queen but I don't think theyll add them on the south side of Queen. They have too many buses parked on the road, and bus routes coming through it

Too bad they removed it. Think this was the last overhead turn arrow sign assembly with lights. The offramp from WB 401 to Dixie used to have lighted turn arrow signs before they replaced the either assembly.
