Some new, and some old.
These photos taken at the same intersection, The old being the now rare polefab traffic light pole with 2 CGE's on an ex. MTO road. The new being the LED incandescent look modules for the green amber and red, The Fortran advanced and the Fortran pedestrian signals. I dislike the new green modules. They look a little bit bluish if you ask me, the amber and red look nice.

Yeah most green LED modules have a bluish look to them. In fact, most LED greens actually use blue LEDs, not green, since blue LEDs are brighter and probably cheaper since LED naturally emit a blueish light IIRC.

The most recent RIDOT traffic signal installations remind me a lot of the Ontario installations. Here they now use black backboards with a yellow reflective front (so the backboards are yellow on the front and black on the back) The new poles have angled masts that cuve. They're not really that close to what's used above but the curved/angled mast and the yellow backboards reminded me a lot of the Ontario installations. Here they're all 12" heads. The new protected left turn signals are the flashing yellow kind though now instead of the bi-color arrows.

That must one of those Swarco LED modules, they're the only ones I've seen that were this blue before. I personally like the green from the mid 2000s Dialight modules or the newer GE modules like the GT-X.

Hmm, wonder why they decided to switch the left turn lights. I don't think Canada has them yet. In fact some places up north still use the old flashing green ball.

I think the flashing yellow arrows are actually required in new installations by the FHWA as of a few years ago but RIDOT is just beginning to use them. MassDot still uses the doghouse signals and Connecticut aparently still uses the bi-color arrows (doghouse for older installations).

This is the oddest RIDOT installation I've ever seen. Doghouse signals instead of bi-color arrows, plastic signals instead of metal (this installation is a few years old, at that time their installations were strictly Siemens aluminum heads and bi-color arrows), this is a spanwire instead of masts (spanwires haven't been used in like 10 years here). And the backboards are louvered instead of flat. The R-Y-G signals look like McCains but the doghouses look very weird. See here. I go by this signal whenever I go to the South County ReStore.

80% of our signals have these now. The only ones that don't are the newer traffic lights from the last 6 years to last year or the older roads with older signals like Dixie. Dixie, Queen, Bovaird, are the only roads I know of that still have original modules

UPDATE: The signal on the right side of the photo has been replaced by a plumbized Fortran Sad
