March of the teardrops
Heres some new installs of Teardrop Acorn lights. All new streets in the westend seem to use LED GE Evolves and a mix of HPS and LED teardrops. This is the first Double median teardrop in the city that I know of to date

Wonder if this is a older pic, the signal on the right looks like it has a incandescent lamp. Razz

There's no one credited for the pic so this should be his pic, or else he needs to credit someone for it.

Nope its actually the new google streetview 2015 lol.

Those signals will be replaced by 12-8-8's when they finish building the northside of this road.

Ah so that's a temporary signal installation?

Oh man the droop on these teardrop fixtures is very obvious when two are drooping on double arms

I've never seen tear drops on this height of pole being LED yet. I wonder if they've made one bright enough for this application yet.

@Joe: The latest LED signals in this city simulate the incandescent look more than ever before!

Yeah I was thinking that the droop was pretty tacky. You'd think they would have at least made the fixtures level on the arms after realizing the arms were too flimsy to hold the light straight. Rolling Eyes Laughing Perhaps these are not teardrops, rather they're teardroops. Razz Laughing

There is a stretch of LED's now north of this intersection in streetview from Bovaird Dr. I can't see clearly enough, but looks like the AEL Autobahns we've seen used this year
Model25FanForever   [Sep 30, 2015 at 10:46 PM]
I think its the AEL Autobahns too
