design flaw

even with the sheild in place there's a hole where the lamp socket sticks through letting UV and heat from the 100W MH lamp toast the wires, to make matters worse the flex comes in right over the lamp! had 2 of these with bad wiring that was shorted out! the tamper resistant screws also suck and there's 4 of them, they aren't self retaining either, they could've made this design a lot better without costing any more, make it hinged and use 2 tamper resistant screws self retaining, use heat resistant wire (like HID sockets have) and make the flex come in off to the side not above the lamp
the ballast is in the soffit (F-can) and difficult to replace the way it's mounted to the tray and wiring compartment screws can't be undone with framing being in the way..they also did away with the disconnect plug , working on these live with 4 in wire sucks! the whole thing sucks
