Oh nice, not even installed and it's useless. was a new lamp ordered or is your boss just going to send it back for a replacement fixture?

I think the induction lamps are sold as a lamp/ballast package so he'll have to order in a new kit or send the light back.

I believe Darren had a cobrahead with a missing induction lamp and he ended up ordering the lamp and ballast kit as the lamp alone was unobtainable.

yeah they're pretty hard to find separatly since the lamp and driver have basically the same life. Speaking of green lighting, RIDOT will be testing its first LEDs. Both of the remaining highmasts setups are biting the dust. The HPS highmasts will be replaced by LED street lights and the MH highmasts will be replaced eiter by LED or the standard HPS M-400 FCOs on davits. RIDOT is redoing the interchange with the HPS highmasts and it's being federally funded so i guess that's why they want to test out LEDs. I guess if the big guys are paying for it, why not try it out? lol

Hmm, over here MTO is still removing most of the old cobrahead setups if replacement with highmast is feasible. LED is still limited to the service centres and a few select trials though.

the boss says he can order just the lamp, we have another wallpack that came with a busted lamp too. ..the problem is they dont pack anything between the lamp and the reflector,being attached with one bolt at the end means it can flop arround and smack the reflector
