Nice, a CD eraser. Probably will even erase stamped discs as well, or at least degrade the coating to the point where they are unreadable in under a year.

Unless you leave them in the box

I accidentally left a pack of CDR's in the boxes near the window, where they got direct sunlight on them. Tried them a year later and none would record and verify, even those at the bottom of the still shrunk stack. The other box in the cupboard from the same batch worked perfectly. Jewel cases as well went brittle and cracked very easily. Was only a $ 2 pack though so no great loss.
