That Canadian Tire also turns off all of their parking lot and wallpacks lights as well as the signs as soon as they close for the night,it always looks strange seeing a store so dark at night even if they are closed. If I where them I might turn off most of the lot lights but I would for sure leave all the building and sign lights on.
The highbays in the pool area of the hotel i stayed at in Niagra Falls had CFLs in them. I'm assuming they were origionally MH or MV. They were a cylindrical shape like a soda can.
I've seen ones made by GE that look like the ones i saw in Canada, but the GE ones are smaller. My elementary school had GE ones backstage in the Auditorium. Most were burnt out and I've never seen them used except when i turned them on. As far as i know, they're still there.
Oh the joys of playing with electrical stuff at school. My current high school has almost all the breaker boxes locked but a few aren't, my middle school had them all unlocked, I played with the gym and stage lights on many occasions, of course when no one was around.
Hey Joseph how old are you anyways (if you don't want to tell us here you can PM me)? You've never told us,I have a guess but I'm not totally sure. Anyways I've fired up all the lights in my middle school's gym at the same time, 450 or so fluorescent lamps firing up at the same time sure is impressive!
I used to be first to class just so I could flip on the lights and see that RS startup effect.
