I got a tapered elliptical arm like this one today, I found it on the ground with an M-400 R3, the M-400 R3 was busted a bit but at least the ballast is good.
Well I took the tapered elliptical arm too to use to display my lights.
HERE IS A LINK TO THE STREETVIEW to the light and arm I acquired, I was stopped at the red light and right before my eyes I saw an arm and a streetlight on the ground, so I took them both, I am glad the arm fit in the car. xD
And I have a pole in our yard I am gonna put it on. xD It's the utility pole that gives electricity to our house, well there is the main one behind our house that has the 7.2 KV line then we have another one closer to our house that just holds the 120 volt line because the 7.2 KV one is pretty far back so they needed another pole.
Really all I am gonna do is put a screw in the pole and leave the screw there and attach the arm when I am going to display the light. Then take it off when I am done. I don't want to leave the arm on the pole where people can steal it.
I though you weren't getting anymore lights. I would suggest drilling through the pole and putting in a through bolt in, the way it would be safe. I would like to get a 8 foot tapered E arm soon, I regret not getting one in the past because I have had many opportunities to get one before but I never actually got one... yet.
I don't have a real arm yet. i'm fine with the $10 yardblaster arms until I get my own house where Id actually have a place to drill a place for an arm. How much does a real mast arm cost? I'm pretty sure the cantilever style is the cheapest and truss is the most pricey, but I don't know number-wise.

How long was the arm 8 foot, 10 foot?
