Cooper Lighting OVH
|
This was taken down temporarily for a constrution project on Union BLVD and 6th Avenue (Or US 6 Freeway)
This was closer to 4th Ave though.
Weird thing is this had electric tape around the fixture! And the hinges are just fine, and so is the latch. I wonder why they put electric tape around it. I could assume the workers who took it down did that but when the tape got taken off it seems there was a nice clean streak under it.
I would of taken it... But I asked them and they said they were putting hte light back up where it was, so I left it there.
This was on a Typical Lakewood Davit pole. Didn't get picture cause of the people around it.

The guy at the Lakewood Public Works told me that they were changing out all 400 watt lights with 250 watt HPS, to save electricity. All the lights on most of the roads were 400 watt I think.. So they replaced all the 400 watt ones with 250 watt OVH's... And you usually see the OVH replacements on big roads, where I guess there would of been 400 watt fixtures before.
Do you think it was necessary to do that?
