Heres a shot that was requested 3 months ago and that I took the next day but then forgot about, any ways this shows my LED panel inside my Model 13 with a drop refractor, enjoy!
The only problem is that is it only puts out about as much light as a 50 watt HPS so this won't light up anything more than a tiny residential road (even here the lowest wattage used is 70) so this is more or less useless
I think a real LED cobrahead would be more like the cobraheads designed today.

Where the ballast goes, the circuitry for the LED lamps go, and all that equipment. And in the reflector, there would be a mogul base socket like the normal reflectors, and then you would screw in an LED lamp with lots of LED's in them (Kind of like a LED lamp you find at a store, but without the circuitry needed for it in the lamp, instead its in the Cobrahead where the ballast usually is.) And then you can have a drop lense and an FCO too, it will be a normal Cobrahead but instead an an HID ballast, there will be LED circuitry and instead of an HID lamp, there will be a lamp with multiple LEDs on it, not flat, but circlular around the lamp.
Actually, LEDs are much more efficient than HID, or any other light source. All you would have to do is up the wattage of the LED diodes and you don't need more LED diodes to make the thing brighter. As you notice with the LED traffic signals, the Dialight Non-pixelated ones are about the same bright as the pixelated ones, actually a bit BRIGHTER than the pixelated, and they have only about 4-8 LEDs in them instead of 100-150 like the pixelated ones do. So it is possible to make an LED cobrahead like that.
