Located infront of my Mother's House in Greenfield, MA. The light was recently relamped and had an Intermatic photocell installed. These are WMECO pole but we do not maintain the streetlights for Greenfield.
If we still maintained these fixtures, we would have cleaned it out but the Greenfield DPW maintains them. We have 5 Cities/Towns here we serve that have there streetlights maintained by others, everywhere else we still do service them.
I think NGrid does the servicing for all the lights in RI that they own the lines for. Up in NW RI in the Burrilville area there's another utility co that is fed from NGrid and they use OVH, 115, Durastar 20, and OVZ. The island towns (block island, Newport, Jamestown) are all fed by NGrid too but I think they still have a private utility company bearing the Narragansett Electric name.
I was was just reading that the city of Greenfield is going to be replacing HPS fixtures with LED Fixtures. Looks like this light will be going bye bye someday. We can't avoid it now!
Ick! I guess the LED trend is really catching on out in western and northern mass. On the way to niagra falls this past summer, I saw some LEDs on a street from the Mass Pike.
