Lost MTO
|
This construction area just keeps getting more, and more bizarre with each new set up. First MTO sets up polefabs with AE 125`s at the exit ramps which usually have tall octogonal steel poles. Then they added some concrete poles that still have no fixtures on them after both between both of the ramp intersections. Then these aluminum poles with FCO AE 125`s. Seems that most if not the rest of the replacements will be these FCO`s on aluminum poles. Some of the old polefabs will probably still be used as well

They install a 8+ foot long 2' diameter cardboard tube in the ground as a mold, then setup the rebar which comes in the preassembled cage, install the anchor bolts which also preassembled on a jig to ensure the position of the bolts relative to each other is maintained. Finally they fill the cardboard tube with concrete and leave it for 2-3 months.
-a small stretch and random spots have the low aluminum poles with AEL 125 FCO
-random spots have tall concrete poles with AEL 125 FCO, but two of these poles reused powerlite R37/R47 fixtures
-random spots did not get new poles with old polefabs ramaining but with new AEL 125's drop lenses replacing old powerlite fixtures.
It's not a good final configuration if you're OCD about pole heights/fixture consistency/consistency of drop and FCO.
