Parking lot lit with fluoros
Sorry for the blur...
But this is an unusual lighting set up for parking lot lights.....

It was actually a bit darker than it looks, this was lit by 4x2 troffer fixtures with 2 F40T12 (yes you read it right, RAPID START T12) fixtures! They had bugs in them LOL!

Remove the cars and I'd be sure this is an interior commercial room!

yeah what an over-done parking garage! Shocked Laughing Just two lamps? Seems like four lamp T12 troffers were the most common.

Wow, and I thought this was the only parking lot with a drop ceiling.

very odd for a parking garage..with those fixtures it brings a typical retail or classroom ceeling to mind.

This parking lot seems very well lit too considering how far apart the fixtures are (10-12 feet apart) and having only two lamps? Even with four T12s i don't think it would be this bright. I would guess 4X F32T8 with a high ballast factor ballast for that kind of light. Unless these lights have the specular reflectors and combine that with a possible light level correction from the camera?

This would give me the strange feeling I was driving through the actual building. Laughing I wonder how they keep all those ceiling tiles clean?

RIGHT? Yeah I would think the same thing. "LALALALALA!!! Driving through JC Penny. LALALALALA!!!" lol Laughing

Laughing Yep, Time to go shopping, do,dado,da,day.

This is a cool setup! They make special ceiling tiles that have a vynl like coating which would explain why they aren't dirty, as for T12s I know of a parking garage with some of the same looking troffers but they have 6500K lamps and run 24/7

My grandparents have a 2X4 drop ceiling in the family room, though no ceiling mounted objects. the ceiling tailes have are flexible foam stuff with a plastic-ish laminate on the bottom (the side that you see) the ones at my school are made out of dried out pressed carboard/paper i think. They're rigid and made from some sort of compressed fiber material.

I know of a processing room at a fish cannery that has a suspended ceiling with 2X4 troffers...

The first thing I thought was "who puts a drop ceiling in a parking garage?" Rolling Eyes
