Fluorescent Desk Lamp in its New Home
Last month, I decided to place my 1980s Inter-World F15T8 manual-preheat fluorescent desk lamp on a desk I have at the school where my mom works. I used one of my two 1996 General Electric F15T8/SPX50 tri-phosphor 5000K fluorescent tubes, and so far, it has been working great. It has a great color to it with good CRI and is bright. The fixture has been working great as well, and the ballast is silent. Overall, I'm very happy with this desk lamp.

By the way, sometimes I notice that the tube has a slight flicker to it after being on for a few minutes. It doesn't bother me all that much, so I'm not too worried about it, but if anyone knows why that's happening, please let me know. Both F15T8/SPX50s do that, on both this desk lamp and my Lampi preheat strip light. I don't know if there's something wrong with them or what, but it's very peculiar. Question

I've seen fluorescent lamps, mainly PL-S lamps that sometimes have stronger flickering than other. I think my Sylvania Lynx-S 9W/827 CFL doing this sometimes.
