Ebay find. The one in the center is older, from September '77 and it has a supported filament. The other two are from '82 and both have unsupported filaments.
the reason for the increased wattage is to sell more electricity! Commonwealth edison is the electric utility in the chicago area and at least until recently they were all for selling more electricity. ComEd bulbs of 200w and 300w however had the normal ratings.
I remember ComEd did have 3-way Mogul base with odd wattage as 102-203 or 204 (Can't remember which) and 305 Watt version. We used to get those bulbs for our floor lamp (Which it now converted to (E26) base)
