i'm guessing they're not too yellow as the pic suggests... what kelvin does it seem to be about? i noticed in one of your vids on you tube that you used 34w lamps on preheat fixtures. I wouldn't use these on preheaters for more than a pic or two since they will make those nice preheat ballasts overheat and pee out tar like no tomorrow. these energy saving lamps are usually the death of most vintage ballasts unfortunatly.
the ballast says it is good for 30-40 watts. it also mentions a 32 watt circline.. the longest they have ran was for a bout 6 hours. i typically only burn them for a few minutes at a time.. so i should run a 40 watt lamp in this?? ALSO the temp is prob around 4000k.
ahh if this lists F30T12s then it's a NPF ballast so in that case you should be fine. If it was a HPF ballast like a tulamp ballast the 34W lamps would kill it quite easily but if it lists 30WT12s then your good! ahh so this really isn't much of a difference from cool white? did they make these in warm white and cool white in addition to lite white?
I find with the NPF ballasts both RS and preheat, if 30-40w is listed then 34w will usually run fine on them. NPF ballasts that list only 40w lamps will overheat with 34w lamps though. Usually those aren't as common unless the light is pretty old.
If I remember correctly, lite white was made only in 34w and it was a lower CRI CWish phosphor that has the same lumens as a 40w CW lamp.
