Small Joslyn clamshell - side view
Looks almost like an old British clamshell, yet it is American all the way. There's an identical model of this still in service in Pasadena, CA.

Nice additions to your collection Dave! Is that refractor a Holophane 4082? I see them on a few fixtures around here.

Wouldn't this model correspond to the one in this picture I took years ago? It does look quite similar!

Nice acquisition! The refractors are beautiful and they are getting REALLY hard to find.

The refractor looks identical to the one on a B2217.

Yes Joe that's the same refractor on the B2217's. I see them on some R37's here and also on a Westy OV-15.

Oh cool so you could stick any small glass you want in here? I didn't know they ever made clams with the small cobra glass shape.

@lite lover, sorry for the slow reply, but I checked the glass and yes it is a Holophane 4082. I indeed noticed the 1960s Powerlites share the same glass as the Joslyns.

No worries Dave, the 4082 is a nice looking refractor.

To Vince, The picture you took is the bigger MV131 400 watt version.
