Here are the 5 solar gutter lights I have installed on the side of the house near the trash containers. I installed them to provide some light for when we have to take any trash out at night. This pic does pretty good at showing how bright they are.
There's a little more light that "spills" out on the edges, so they actually light up a little bigger pattern than the picture shows. Three LED's powered by one AA battery. Not bad at all.
Cool! From your other pictures, the top housing looks like the same make as ones I modified and attached to my fence. Mine have a refracter add-on and another right at the bottom, so they're not as spotty. But being more spotty is good in your application being mounted that high!
