I see that many US lighting companies makes lamps especially designed for use with ceiling fans, incandescent and CFL. In Israel, like in most parts of the world, we use just regular use lamps. For example in my room in my mother house in Haifa i use an OSRAM DuluxStar 23W coolwhite 840 in a ceiling fan.
