Tape is like a flat head screwdriver, you can do virtually anything you can think of with that! XD

I made a small cup out of duct tap and it actually held water. Shocked Duct tape is my favorite thing to use. Laughing

Electrical tape is the electrician's duct tape. Laughing

The only thing i don't like about electrical tape is that it isn't that stickey.

Well duct tape sometimes leaves a gooey mess.

It only would of taken a few screws to do this properly but... Rolling Eyes

IMO, they should have atleast taped just the cover, not the lamps. That way the heat wouln't be as bad. For some reason at my school, a certain style of wrap light that's here are mostly missing the diffusers. I've only seen a few that still have them. however, another type all have their lenses.

BOOOOOOOOOM! (breaking florescent tubes) (room turns into Superfund site)
streetlight98   [Mar 26, 2012 at 01:49 AM]
Thankfully, these appear to have tube guards.

(bounce on hard floor, electrodes break, will now only work on an IS ballast)

After: [End up arcing the stem cracking the glass and melting the tubeguard]
GEsoftwhite100watts   [Mar 26, 2012 at 02:02 AM]
(TUBES STILL BREAK!). HAZMAT team arrives and gasps at the full mercury non-eco tubes)

I think the cover is installed properly. They probably did this because they thought it would reduce the risk of lamps falling out.
