General Electric M-250 R2 Open.
Here one is open. Looks like for a 100 watt HPS light this sure has a big ballast.

Looks like a CWA ballast with a capacitor.

Funny thing is, LOTS Of M-250 R2's on this street were missing doors. Most were not but lots were.

I wonder if people took them off on purpose.

The poles might be a little to shakey for them... This looks to be a multi-tap ballast. and that's a sylvaina lamp. Smile

These luminaires are very notorious for losing their doors. National Grid and NYSEG uses them and I see a lot of doors and optical assemblies missing.

I see more of these lose doors in Denver than anything else. Even though this fixture is in Colorado Springs.

Jace told me that Geoff notices more 115's lose their doors there than the M-250 R2's. Here is a different case.

Most of the M-250R2s here are from the early 90's to the early 2000's. The newer ones loose their doors more than any others. I wonder, if the hinges could be redesigned so that if the latch comes unhooked the door won't fly off as easy? Possibly a higne keeper?
