Ahh, too bad it's dead. I've yet to test my F40 Bonusline ballast but my VHO one seems to run quite hot so I'm not quite sure how much life is left in that one.

nice ballast Mike, its a good doorstop or paper weight

@ Joe; the brand new advance VHO ballast i bought runs very hot too, i think its pretty typical of them Question

yeah i was a little bummed but it does make a nice collection piece or a door stop or paperweight lol. Razz Laughing when did they stop making the bonusline ballasts?

I dont know, i would gusess the 80s were the last ,then power lighting products made a bonus line too

that's what i figured. i thought the bonusline ballast eneded with bonusline mercs so i was like "what?! 1984?" lol. When were the last full-power ballasts made?

i totally love the "Bonus Line Ballast" cursive text. Very Happy

I think after 1995 the epact didn't allow full power ballasts to be made , although the energy saver ballasts gained popularity before 95 anyways

I think the Bonus Line Ballast name stuck around for quite a long time, I've seen pics of ballasts made as late as 2000 (Under the Valmont and Powerlighting Products name ) with Bonus Line on it.

Another interesting thing, while the RS full power ballasts were banned in the 90s, the preheat Universal 205-TC-P tulamp ballast stayed in production as late as 2004 Shocked

Too bad it's dead...this is just like mine but I think mine has PCBs...and it has leaked tar too! But it still works though! That one evidently didn't like 34w lamps! Laughing unlike the Universal ones...
