My M-250R Mounted In my Room! Sporting my tall white Ripley, also recently aquired. Here the M-250R has been washed clean and will remain in this condition! This is aimed down because the way the slipfitter is designed, in order to adjust the leveling, you need a conventional wrench, not a socket wrech so after I took these pics I dug around in my dad's tool box and found a 9/16" wrench. It's very hard to adjust while the fixture is mounted to the pole though! Keywords: American_Streetlights

Nice, I never knew the model with the thumb latch was painted silver. I always thought it was the earlier ones.

The 1960 to 1965 ones were silver and the 1966-1969 ones were gray. The 1960 to 1964 ones had no thumb tab. The ones from 1965-1969 had the thumb tabs. So there was a one-year overlap where the thumb tab units had silver paint. Smile

I have three luminaires with the same type of slipfitter, two M400s and an M1000 all from the mid-60s and I was able to use a 9/16 shallow socket with a 3/8" drive.

I think I was able to use my socket wrench before I replaced the ballasts. The old ballast was a 240V 100W MV reactor. I put in a 175W MV 120/240V GE ballast from 1966, one year after this light was made.
