That's the same model as one I got from Tony a couple years ago. I'm assuming you got these from Tony? The two footcandle setting is strange. I guess they want their photocontrols to be not too sensitive.

You're right on the money. Cool I met up with Tony this afternoon and we did a trade. Very Happy

Yeah 2ftc is odd. Usually the rating is 2.6, no? I kinda like non-sensitive PCs though. I've noticed the marked ftc rating doesn't always mean much. I've had 2.6ftc PCs that are very sensitive and 1.5ftc PCs that are very insensitive.

I have noticed the same thing. The 1 footcandle Sun-Techs LCEC used to use were very sensitive. Turned on minutes before dark. The 1 footcandle DTL's they use turn on earlier. Maybe the manufacturers think nobody will notice, so they just make the 1, 1.5, and 2.6 the same Laughing
Now if I had one of those 35 footcandle photocontrols, I would hope those turn on earlier.

Yeah I've noticed the newer Sun-Techs (like ever since the quality went poo in 2013/2014-ish) come on VERY late. I don't know if they order 1.0ftc instead of 1.5ftc now but they literally come on just before it gets pitch black out. The light in front of my house JUST came on!

The quality went "poo" Laughing , I think around the same time they rolled out the green windows. With all the dayburners they had, I would hope they fixed whatever the issue was.

The bad quality came a little after the green window since the first green window units here seemed pretty good. I know around here they got crappy when they started using shiny very dark gray covers instead of the medium-dark gray one that I have from 2010.
