NOS 2004 Ripley "NYC" Photocell
Got four of these from Ryan. 120-277V units from October 5, 2004. Part number 6390B-NYC. The eye faces upward and there is an extended turn-off delay (instant turn on). They are electronic. Unsure why NYC wanted them spray painted orange around the lower half but that's how they all were. Now with the push for LED, these are falling rapidly. Unsure if they even still made these NYC PCs. Inside, they're the same as most other Ripley PCs, just with the silicon light sensor pointed up. Most others have it bent down to face out the window. You could easily do just that and attach a standard Ripley cover to the base of this PC.

Yeah NYC had Ripley custom-make these photocells for years. Not sure when they first started using them but they continued using them right up until they started using LED. I assume they just use standard LED photocells now.

I'll try to see if I can get one of these, put it on my Cooper OVW to see how it looks like.

Although, I don't have it yet.
