Installed the 1963 M-250R on my Shed
Replacing the restored 175W MH/MV Unistyle, which had a brown DTL PC and newer ED /DX Sylvania MV lamp. This one has a 60s Ripley PC and a like-new Philips Lifeguard 100W clear lamp. Note the deep glass on this light.

I prefer these model M-250R with these style lens. Where did you acquire this Utility Metals arm?

Lovely lantern! Cool

The mounting arm came form Joe. It was removed from service when a municipal utility near him went LED. They were apparently rather picky as to which arms they kept during the LED conversion. I can't find anything wrong with the arm other than it having a slight downward bend at the end.

Pemco actually made a light very similar to the M-250R in the 60s that used the Holophane 4252 (the Unistyle glass).

Thanks merc! Cool

Nice setup, too bad the M-250Rs were super rare around here.

Hmm, that Pemco looks a bit like a 60s Powerlite B2217 too. I think the Holophane 4252 was the OEM refractor on the later B2227/R37 and R47. Ironically the B2217 had a different OEM refractor, not sure the model but it had the Josyln logo on it. I'm going off topic here but I noticed a lot of the earlier Powerlites having refractors with Josyln logos on them.

Hmm never knew they used Joslyn refractors. Very interesting. I wonder if they shared any other components.
