StreetLight#108B - Old Fluorescent VHO/PG (updated pic)
Old fluorescent PowerGroove/VHO fixture...
This is actually an updated (better quality) pic of this one posted back in 2012
I'm not sure that it is even a streetlight/outdoor fixture. Or for that matter if it works.

Looks like someone took a VHO industrial and mounted it sideways on a pole. Rolling Eyes You can even see the uplight slots which are useless for outdoor lighting. Laughing

Update:
This is gone now. Disappeared sometime this summer.

They have been adding streetlights all over downtown Bailey, been through it a couple times (went there yesterday actually) and there has been new lights up, too bad the old MV lights are gone but. I lived in Bailey for 12 years, and when I moved there to this day nothing really has changed all that much, other than the intersection upgrade and minor things here and there that was all done when I was still living down there, after moving out of there barely anything has changed, the last big thing I saw was the new power lines they had up (still holding that 45 kV line at the moment) in preparation for the new 115 kV line they plan to put up replacing the rest. They already started from Como towards boreas pass which they are in progress of those lines, took them a while cause I was still living in Bailey when they completed them from Fairplay to Como. And I moved out of there in 2013. June 2013. And they just started the next one after I moved to Longmont from Arkansas, so earlier this year. I don't know when they replaced the ones in Bailey though, I think the first time visiting Bailey after moving the new ones were up.

@LilCinnamon:
I went through Baily on this past weekend Smile And yep I've noticed new streetlights have been going up.
I don't know if they turned out, but I have some pic's of the new power poles (without lines) they've put up down around Fairplay. If they turned out, will be posted here at some point.

I also got a look at the area where the Westin Pass Fire was.

I saw them on Sunday, they got all the poles up until Jefferson and after that they are still in the proccess of taking down the old ones and then they are left untouched after the bend when they enter back into the mountains. On Sunday me and a friend went on I-70 from Colorado Mills to Silverthorne, taking a detour near Green mountain reservoir, and then made my way down to breckenridge and went to fairplay from hoosier pass, going back to denver via 285. It's always interesting passing the high school cause you go right by where I graduated. xD But I think they are going to stop this wave probably around Grant where the next substation is. Cause they have the three way switch towers shutting off the circuit from Como to Grant basically. I could get insilators but I already got some from the last project from before I moved. xD

Me & my brother went up (past Fairplay, not as far as Buena Vista) Saturday, spent a night in the mountains, then came back Sunday so I guess both me & you were on 285 headed home the same day Laughing

At first when I saw the poles with no lines, I thought ..wait, are they putting the lines underground or something.. Then I realized that those are new poles! they're doing an upgrade!

It would make sense that they'd stop at a substation like that.

Am I to assume Platte Canyon High then? Been by there plenty of times myself (and been meaning to get a pic of the parking-lot streetlights .lol. )

-----------
I .might. be back up that way in a couple weeks, so will have to check on progress if I am.
Looks like they were getting real close to stringing the new lines since a section of poles had 'wheels' on them where the lines would attach.. It'd be really interesting to see the work actually being done.

Oh I see. Possibly. I was with a friend and my car wouldn't be hard to miss cause it's obviously mine with the pictures and the custom license plate that is related to my username on here. And yeah.
Back when they were doing the first set when the people directed me to the dumpster, they told me they were upgrading the lines from Fairplay to Aspen Park, where the 115 kV lines under Xcel energy stop and change to the IREA 45 kV. From the substation near Hartsel they added a line from the power lines from that substation (115 kV) and brought it to fairplay to the substation the 45 kV lines ended at, and are going backwards upgrading them all, so no electricity goes out when they do that. And eventually they will go to the subsation in Aspen park at the Barkley/285 intersection. That is what they told me.

And yeah, that's the school I went to, and the middle school next to it before that (and the elementary school which was somewhere else but same district.

I saw them string the lines when they were working on the ones from Fairplay to Como long ago, that's when I got out and asked them about it and they directed me to the dumpster. Also it seems they are using a different contractor this time, before that they used CPL I believe and now it's some out of state company.

Anything good in the dumpster? Or is that where the insulators came from? Laughing

I kinda remember them working on the lines between Fairplay & Como (and that substation near the Como turn-off too) at some point in the past.

Its been a couple years since I was last through Hartsel.

They've got a long way to go still if they're going all the way to Aspen Park! I wondered where the Xcel/IREA point was along there..

I believe I would have been same school district as well, just completely different schools (and a long time ago for me .lol. )

That's where these insulators came from, I posted these when I still lived in Bailey so the pics are at the old house that is there.

You can scroll around and see so me other pics but those are the insulators I got from the dumpster. They are all except for a few I brought back in Arkansas now but yeah.

And yeah it is a long way but that is what they told me. and they are slowly working their way. You can also go deep into my gallery and I have pics of the parking lot lights from the high school and a picture of the lights inside the cafeteria room that I took when I was still attending.

Looks like it messed something up with a couple of your links (but I found 'em just going into your gallery)
I'll have to go look for those lights Laughing

I also put up a pic that I took Saturday of one on the new poles here
