Downtown Des Plaines. Ironically, the taller light in the background (soon to be removed) was part of a relighting project about 20 years ago, replacing the once prominant Form 109. Poetic justice, perhaps?
Is this traffic light mast arm the same age or older? I have never been able to figure out how old those traffic light truss arm masts were....but there was a lot around when I was living in Cook County...The ones that looked original to those truss arm were those Bullet Eye style traffic lights (the ones that has Target style back patterns...)
