I have a 1934 Seagull fan thanks to one of the members on this page....although something is a little bit wrong with it, an electrical leak is happening and since it is not grounded...it almost killed me so I have not used it in a while...

Sounds like a wire is touching the metal housing somewhere...might be the headwire and/or the wiring in the switch.
