Any significance to the Orange stripe? Is it otherwise a standard photocontrol?

These are upward facing PCs.

Yeah these are special upward facing photocontrols certified by New York City Department Of Transportation. Its just a upward facing photocontrol with a translucent cover. They just use spray paint to paint the orange stripe. It chips off really easy.

Ripley NYC Line

This is from my order to Ripley in Greenville, for a NYC grade photocontrol. Being from Binghamton, NY, this one holds a special place with me! Although, it's disappointing how the orange paint chips off simply with the touch of a finger.
